Diagnostic Technician

We are seeking a skilled, experienced, and qualified DIAGNOSTIC TECHNICIAN to join a quality independent service and repair business, 5 miles from Weston-super-Mare.

To be considered you should hold a minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent).  You should be able demonstrate a track record at the Diagnostic level, and be experienced in the role.  Able to undertake more complex fault diagnosis you will possess a well-developed skillset in all aspects of the technical discipline, including:

  • Electronic fault diagnosis
  • Servicing in line with manufacturer’s guidelines
  • Clutch and dual mass flywheel replacements
  • Cambelt replacements
  • General maintenance (both preventative and routine)
  • General repairs (both major and minor)

Ideally your experience will extend to a wide range of brands and models.  Alongside your own jobs, you will be looked upon to support your workshop colleagues with more complex procedures and fault diagnosis.   You must have a full UK Driving Licence. 

An MOT testers qualification would be a distinct advantage but is not an essential requirement.

This family-owned business has been operating successfully for over 25 years, building a great local reputation.  They offer a pleasant working set-up within a happy and mutually supportive team environment.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 8.00 to 5.30 (with an hour for lunch).  There is a Saturday morning rota (paid at overtime rate).
