Vehicle Technician

A minimum £30,000 basic salary plus a bonus scheme are being offered by a franchised main dealer near Taunton, to attract an experienced SERVICE TECHNICIAN.

This business is part of a privately owned dealer group who are dedicated to the representation of a well-known quality brand, synonymous for its reliability, quality and EV / Hybrid technology.  You will be joining a busy, happy and well-motivated team, working in a modern up to date workshop environment.

To be considered you will hold a minimum NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent) and have 3+ years hands-on workshop experience – gained within another main dealer or quality independent garage.  An MOT Tester’s qualification would be a distinct advantage but is not essential.

Your daily activities will predominantly focus on routine servicing and maintenance of the represented brand.  Therefore, you will be skilled in this area with the ability to produce high quality work, to manufacturer standards, and within fixed timeframes.

Your working week will be Monday to Friday with 1 in 3 Saturday mornings on a rota basis.  Overtime is regularly available (time and a half) and additional financial consideration will be given to those with higher skillsets or levels of qualification.  The future potential for brand training and career development also exists.
